Professor Ajay Rane
Professor Ajay Rane OAM PSM is a leading Urogynaecologist based in Townsville, where he heads the Obstetrics and Gynaecology department at James Cook University. He also serves as a Visiting Medical Officer at Mater Hospital and Director of Urogynaecology at Townsville Hospital.
Professor Ajay Rane specializes in minimally invasive surgery for urinary incontinence, genital prolapse and fistulas, and has personally designed an operation called Perigee for bladder prolapse.
Professor Rane travels all over the world demonstrating his minimally invasive surgeries which in 97% of cases are now done as ambulatory day case surgery.

What constitutes a ‘normal’ female cycle, is that really a thing? How much period pain is considered typical? And what steps can you take to manage these issues?
In this workshop, explore these topics with Professor Ajay Rane and Dr Jay Iyer as well as common challenges associated with endometriosis and menopause including symptoms and the impacts on fertility and sleep. This session will provide a platform for open discussion, allowing participants to share their experiences and insights.
