Cathie Schnitzerling

Cathie is the Executive Producer of ABC Landline, the ABC’s national regional agricultural program.

Born and raised in outback Queensland, she was the first presenter of the program in 1991 and returned to steer the program in 2019 after a long media career in senior editorial and leadership positions in commercial television news, government and the ABC.

Cathie regularly presents morning radio on the ABC in Brisbane and nationally.

She has tertiary qualifications in leadership coaching and mentoring and has attended the Women’s Leadership Forum at Harvard Business School.

Cathie raised her two children as a single parent following the death of her husband 20 years ago.

She recently fulfilled a long-held goal and relocated from Brisbane to a small farm in the scenic Darling Downs two hours from the city where she is learning to raise cows, chickens and guinea fowl and finding new and interesting ways to use surplus pumpkins.

From Thargomindah State School to Harvard Business School, Cathie will be sharing her journey with us, and lessons learnt from life experience which led to senior leadership positions.

We can’t wait to have Cathie with us in Noccundra!
