Deb Frecklington

We are excited to announce Deb Frecklington as a guest speaker at Channel Country Ladies Day in Windorah. Deb is a passionate advocate for regional Queensland and makes it a priority to ensure our regional communities get their fair share. She is country girl born and bred, growing up on a cattle property in Guluguba, north of Miles in Western Queensland. Her parents worked the land to make a living, provide opportunities for their children and instil a love of regional Queensland and its people.

Regional Queensland is her home and where her and husband, Jason chose to raise their three daughters. Deb has a Business degree and Bachelor of Law and was elected to State Parliament in 2012 as the Member for Nanango. She has served as an Assistant Minister for Finance, and was the first female Shadow Agriculture Minister.

Deb was also the first female leader of the LNP Opposition, serving in this role for three years. In 2020, Deb was re-elected for a fourth term and currently serves as the Shadow Minister for Water and the Construction of Dams, Shadow Minister for Regional Development and Manufacturing.
